Main Campus

All prospective students that have applied to on-campus housing should email us at student_housing@csumb.edu to cancel. Your security deposit is refundable, if cancellation of your housing reservation is received 30 days prior to the upcoming Fall semester.  Please allow 6-8 weeks for the university to refund your security deposit, if applicable. If at a later date, you wish to live on campus, you will need to reapply by calling us (we will update your records so that you are again allowed to access the online housing application) and submit a new security deposit. Main Campus Student Housing offers an Academic Year License. No room and board refund shall be given after the designated license period begins. Any Licensee who requests to vacate the housing assignment after the beginning of the designated license period shall give at least thirty (30) days' written notice of intention to vacate and the reason therefore. Failure to give 30 days notice will result in forfeiture of the security deposit.

East Campus

East Campus applicants must cancel in writing by sending an email to eastcampus_studenthousing@csumb.edu. Notification of cancellation of an assignment/application in East Campus must be received 30 days prior to the first day of classes for either the Fall or Spring terms, depending on your application. Your application deposit is refundable, if cancellation of your housing application is received 30 days prior to the first day of classes for either the Fall or Spring terms, depending on your application. Please allow 4-6 weeks for Alliance Residential Company to refund your application deposit, if applicable.

If you need to cancel your assignment/application past the date of forfeiture, you will need to do so in writing, and your application deposit will be forfeit. If at a later date, you wish to live on campus, you will need to reapply by calling us (we will update your records so that you are again allowed to access the online housing application) and submit a new application deposit.

If at any point you are Wait listed with the East Campus Housing office you can cancel your application with no forfeiture penalties.
