Winter Break Housing Form - housing.csumb.edu/winterbreakhousing
If you are not staying during break, you can move back into your room as early as Friday, January 18, 2013. Although you do not need to remove all of your belongings from your room during Winter Break, you are encouraged to take your valuable items with you during the break period. Please do not forget your keys!
YOU MAY GET A NEW ROOMMATE/SUITE-MATE/APARTMENT-MATE
If you are leaving for Winter Break and have space(s) available in your room/suite/apartment, your RA will be inspecting the space to make sure it is ready for a new resident during the week of December 17, 2012 - December 22, 2012. Failure to prepare your room for the possibility of a new roommate may result in the revocation of your License Agreement and/or additional charges.
IF YOU ARE NOT RETURNING TO CSUMB
In order to break your 2012/2013 Student Housing Academic Year License, you are required to submit a License Cancellation Form, which is available at Student Housing & Residential Life, located in the Student Center. License Cancellation Forms can only be turned into the Student Housing & Residential Life Office between 8:00am and 5:00pm Monday-Friday. The last day to turn in forms is Friday, November 30, 2012.
You will need to sign-up for a check-out time to vacate your on-campus space at the time you submit your form. Appointments will be available every 30 minutes between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm, December 17-21, 2012, or between 8:00 am and 11:40 am on December 22, 2012. You must check-out of your room no later than 12:00 pm on Saturday, December 22, 2012. Failure to sign-up, properly check-out, or not submitting a License Cancellation Form, will result in additional charges.
If you change your mind about returning to the University for the Spring 2013 semester, and need to check-out after December 22, 2012, you will be charged a daily rate for occupying the room during the Winter break, according to the building and type of room that you occupy. If you are not leaving the University, you may not request to break your 2012/2013 Student Housing Academic Year License. This is in accordance to the terms you agreed to upon move in.
