Fall 2012 Main Campus Assignment Timeline
Student Housing & Residential Life is Going Green!
All assignment and roommate communication sent to incoming students will be done electronically. Additionally, students are able to easily access their housing assignment information, roommate names and contact information, and other electronic essential forms, by logging into their MYHousing portal via their MYCSUMB dashboard. By sending assignment information to students electronically via email, we greatly reduce our impact on the environment by eliminating our need to print and mail assignment packets to students. Having housing information available online is also a convenient way for students to check their assignment/roommate information, review important documents, and access assignment packets any time they want to; instead of waiting for a packet in the mail. This also allows for students to have the most updated information.
What Students Can Access via MYHousing

- Check-In information for the Fall semester has not been finalized. Additional information will be sent after students have been assigned.
- New Student Assignment Packets will be available via MYHousing after check-in information has been finalized and emails with updated information have been sent.
- Main Campus Housing Applications are considered complete once the online application has been submitted and a $250.00 Security Deposit payment has posted to your Student Account. You will not be assigned a room assignment if you do not have both an online application and $250.00 Security Deposit on file. You may pay the Security Deposit online through your CMS account or in person at the Campus Service Center. Confirmation emails will be sent to students with complete applications until they are assigned a space for Fall. Security Deposits are non-deferrable and must be paid in order for an application to be complete.
- All housing assignments are based on the date an application is complete and current availability. If there are not enough spaces to accommodate all housing applications received, some students may be placed on a waiting list until space is available. Additional information regarding assignments and waiting lists will not be available until late June. Students contacting our office regarding assignments and waitlists, prior to June, will be advised to wait until assignment/wait list emails have been sent.
- All housing placements are assigned on an academic year basis. By entering into the Student Housing Academic Year License Agreement you are acknowledging that you will reside on-campus in student housing for the designated academic year for which you have been assigned and are responsible for all fees associated.
- New Students, who have not been assigned, will not see housing information in MYHousing until AFTER they have been placed. If there is no information present on your MYHousing home page it means you have not been assigned.
- All students living in the Residence Halls, Vineyard Suites, or Pinnacles Suites are required to have a meal plan. When you filled out your housing application you chose your meal plan. If you did not select a meal plan, a Silver meal plan will be assigned to you. Students living in other housing areas can optionally purchase meal plans.
- In order to remain eligible for on-campus housing, all residents must maintain full-time enrollment status of 12 units per semester for undergraduate students or 6 units per semester for graduate students.
- All housing and meal plan payments are due by July 30, 2012, unless you qualify for the Financial Aid Payment Extension. Students will not be able to check into their rooms without meeting one of the payment criteria. Students who qualify for the Payment Extenstion must pay their housing and meal plan fees in full no later than the add/drop date set by the University, September 4, 2012, regardless of whether all aid is received.
