Summer Session 2, July 1, 2013 - August 22, 2013 (53 Days)

SUMMER RATES

Tortuga Hall Single Bedroom: Session 1 - $1,025, Session 2 - $1,350
Tortuga Hall Double Bedroom: Session 1 - $760, Session 2 - $1,000
Tortuga Hall Triple/Quad Bedroom: Session 1 - $680, Session 2 - $900

ASSIGNMENT INFORMATION

Summer housing assignments will be in Tortuga Hall, on the third floor. Assignments in Tortuga Hall are single and double bedrooms, with a limited number of triple and quadruple bedrooms. Assignments will be made on a first come first serve basis.

Summer session housing applicants may be notified of their summer assignment by Monday, May 13th and/or no later than Friday, May 17th. Summer residents must move into their summer assignments between May 20-22, 2013 and check out of their Spring assignments between May 23-25, 2013 There are no exceptions, as we must prepare other housing buildings for summer conference groups.

Summer residents must be available August 8th - August 13th to transition into their Fall 2013 assignments. Additional charges will apply for residents who are out of town or unavailable during these dates.

REQUIREMENTS & PAYMENT DUE DATES

Summer Session Housing will only be available to students who are enrolled in summer school sessions at CSUMB OR are working at CSUMB during the summer. Housing will only be available for the duration the student is enrolled or employed.

In order to remain in on-campus housing during the summer, the resident must

  1. Be fully registered for the Fall 2013 semester at CSUMB by May 7, 2013
  2. Reside in on-campus housing currently
  3. Have no outstanding CSUMB account balance
  4. Have a Fall 2013 assignment or be on a housing waitlist.

Summer applications and fees for Summer Session 1 are due by Friday, May 10, 2013. Fees for Summer Session 2 are due by Friday, June 28, 2013. (You must submit proof of payment in person at Student Housing & Residential Life). 

Residents applying for Summer Session 2 will need to check out of their Spring 2013 assignment and return to campus July 1st to check into their Summer assignment.

No partial stay exceptions will be granted – only whole summer sessions approved. Students may be asked to submit additional proof of enrollment or employment on campus.

*Students with documented and approved special needs, who require specific housing accommodations, must meet with the campus Student Disability Resource office for assistance for housing recommendations. They can be reached at 831-582-3672.

Summer Housing applications will be available online through MyHousing starting Friday, April 5, 2013. All applications are due no later than May 10, 2013, even if you are only intending to live here for one summer term.
 

East Campus Summer Housing

DATES

Summer Session 1: June 1, 2013 - June 30, 2012*

Summer Session 1 and 2: June 1, 2013 - August 22, 2013*

*Note: If requesting a new space for Fall, transition in to Fall assignments to happen over summer. Make sure to keep an eye out for a transition email.

No partial stay exceptions will be granted – only Summer session 1 or whole summer sessions will be granted.

ASSIGNMENT INFORMATION

Summer housing assignments will be assigned in your current space with new Fall space requests to transition over summer.

Summer session housing applicant’s transition dates to be determined, please expect follow email with more transition date details. All Summer housing applicants will be required to sign a new Summer License at the end of May as your current license will expire by May 31, 2013, New licensees will go in to effect on June 1, 2013.

No exceptions will be made for students who do not sign up for Summer housing past May 10, 2013, our office must prepare housing units for our returning and new incoming Fall population.

Summer Session Housing will only be available to students who reserved during Reservation Days.

In order to remain in on-campus housing during the summer, the resident must

  1. Be fully registered for the Fall 2013 semester at CSUMB by May 7, 2013
  2. Reside in East Campus housing currently
  3. Have no outstanding CSUMB account balance or balance with Alliance Residential Company
  4. Have a Fall 2013 assignment or be on a housing waitlist.

Summer applications are due by Friday, May 10, 2013. No Summer housing application fees will be required. Rent for Summer Session(s) will be due on a monthly basis the 1st of the month every month, with a 10 day grace period. Please note late fees will be assessed for all fees paid after the 10th of the month.
